Creative     So today I decided to do the 1x5 challenge which is where a group, me and my friend, were given a random and took turns adding or removing 1 thing from it and after 5 round we would "see" what we had now. I got my brother to give us an object and he decided on a ceiling fan. I added a light to the fan, a robotic arm at the fans base, a ceiling for the arm to be mounted, glass box to encase, and removed the aluminum foil Matthew added. My friend added razor blades to the end of the fan blades, a turret on top of the light, aluminum foil (to the whole thing), coated in cement and feathers. So now we have a buzz saw robot arm statue with feathers on it. As useless as this may seem at first glance, it can be use for something. Because it's a glass box we can put it on display at a museum and get money for it. Design     So today, I wanted to analyze the design choices behind the making of Satoru Gojo. Satoru Gojo is a character from a popular anime ca...

Creative     So this weekend, I went to my friends Matthew’s house and whilst I was there he argued to do a creative thinking exercise with me. We decided to go for a walk whilst throwing random thoughts back and forth at each other. This is a combination of creative exercises I used in the past. Whilst we talked about a lot of stuff, this exercise helped me better create the story for a DND style game I made for him. Right now, I’m trying to figure out the main villains back story and, because of the talk, I was able to think of one. This is pretty tragic so bear with me. The main villain, we’ll call him John, had a wife and daughter, much like the Matthew does in the game. However, John’s wife and kid past away; Now John is on a quest to gain ultimate power and bring them back to life. But, let’s just say, when he does achieve this, he may find out that perhaps their deaths weren’t due to bad circumstances but rather to karma.  Design     This week we w...

Creative     Today, I decided to take it easy and go for a walk. According to Rolljack.com, taking a break to calm down and recharge your brain. I went for a short walk whilst listening to a great song from a game I picked up recently called Persona 3: Reload. For those who want to know what I was listening to it's called Iwatodai dorm, this is because this song only plays when your in the Iwatodai dorms. Anyway, after my walk, I was able to think more clearly and began thinking about the DND style game I'm making for my friend Matthew, I talked about it before in a previous blog. This time, however, I began think more on the games story, specifically, events that will transpire in the near future. For example, I need a way for Matthew to meet a new main villain that he needs to get stronger in order to defeat. So I decided to have Matthew get kidnapped by one of Malideus's minions so he could be experimented on. After a few battles against some lower level opponents, M...

Creative     So today, I decided to do a little bit of exercising because, according to adobe.com, a tired brain is less focused, which allows us to see things in different ways. So after my run, I went back inside my house and the first thing I thought about when I sat down was a DND-style game I made for my friend Matthew. He completed the stories first ark but now needs a new threat to keep him going. This "new threat" must also connect back to the first ark as well as Matthew himself. So, in my tired state, I created a character I named Viper. Viper's name is inspired by Metal Gear's "Solid Snake". However, Viper isn't a hero like Snake, he's an assassin, biologically engineered for killing. He's 762nd experiment done by a company named Rapture to see how far technology could push the limits of the human body. Viper maybe 6'2 and over 300 pounds but doesn't have a super muscular build. The secret to Viper's oddly slim appearance a...

Holiday ads     My ads are all for Walmart based on the ones Walmart actually makes around Christmas time. My intended audience are parents looking for good, and not too expensive, quality gifts for their kids. The point of the ads is to get parents to buys gifts at Walmart because of it's large area of inexpensive quality gifts. I used the repetition of words like "savings" and "great deals" as well as the winter themed background to remind parents of the upcoming holidays and get them thinking about shopping.

Creative      Today, I decided to do a exercise from adobe.com where I basically just write what I was thinking. Not brainstorming, just dumping everything in my head on a piece of paper. I have ADHD so my brain moves a the speed of light which makes it extremely difficult to "catch" the first thing on my mind. So I just let the river of thought flow until I eventually grabbed a thought about an up coming written drivers exam. I've been studying pretty hard for it so that I can finally get my drivers license. There is only 2 real reasons I want a drivers license and these are so I can get a job and so if my family ends up moving I stay here and finish school. The next thought I grabbed was about Fortnite a game I play relatively often. The final season of chapter 5 is out and its a remix of chapter 2 season 1 (or 2 I don't remember) and it's pretty good. The only thing I don't like is that they added Ice Spice the rapper to the game which was very weird to m...
