Today, I decided to take it easy and go for a walk. According to Rolljack.com, taking a break to calm down and recharge your brain. I went for a short walk whilst listening to a great song from a game I picked up recently called Persona 3: Reload. For those who want to know what I was listening to it's called Iwatodai dorm, this is because this song only plays when your in the Iwatodai dorms. Anyway, after my walk, I was able to think more clearly and began thinking about the DND style game I'm making for my friend Matthew, I talked about it before in a previous blog. This time, however, I began think more on the games story, specifically, events that will transpire in the near future. For example, I need a way for Matthew to meet a new main villain that he needs to get stronger in order to defeat. So I decided to have Matthew get kidnapped by one of Malideus's minions so he could be experimented on. After a few battles against some lower level opponents, Malideus himself will challenge Matthew (I do plan on having Matthew lose this fight for plot). After losing the fight Matthew will find a way to escape the facility and train to become strong enough to beat this new threat to the world.

So this week we learned about personas in marketing. Now, when I think of a persona, I think of those things from the game series Persona. However, personas in marketing are kind of like imaginary characters that a company creates to get a better understanding of their customers. By imagining our customers in this way we can better appeal to their interests and habits allowing us to better market to them. When making a person you have to consider many factors. For example, what type of personality does the person have, what hobbies/ things does the persona like doing, what type of media does the persona use most often, etc. By learning these things, we will also learn how to best advertise to the persona and, by extension, the actual customers. All in all, a couple of personas can really help a business optimally advertise to their target audience and customers.
