Creative
So this weekend, I went to my friends Matthew’s house and whilst I was there he argued to do a creative thinking exercise with me. We decided to go for a walk whilst throwing random thoughts back and forth at each other. This is a combination of creative exercises I used in the past. Whilst we talked about a lot of stuff, this exercise helped me better create the story for a DND style game I made for him. Right now, I’m trying to figure out the main villains back story and, because of the talk, I was able to think of one. This is pretty tragic so bear with me. The main villain, we’ll call him John, had a wife and daughter, much like the Matthew does in the game. However, John’s wife and kid past away; Now John is on a quest to gain ultimate power and bring them back to life. But, let’s just say, when he does achieve this, he may find out that perhaps their deaths weren’t due to bad circumstances but rather to karma.
Design
This week we were introduced to adobe express. Its a program that's meant for quick and easy projects but can be used in a similar way to photoshop. In class we watch some videos of people going over adobe express and all the cool features it has, like being able to remove the background on photos with one click. This is just one of the tons of features you can easily access when you open the app. After we watched the videos, we all made ads for a pretend holiday party. We only had about 20 minutes to do so but because the app was so easy to use and navigate, especially after the videos, I was able to complete mine with a few minutes to spar. One of my favorite features express has are the animation you can put on pieces of your project. For my project, I added little swaying ornaments of the letters. All in all, learning adobe express helped me to better understand the importance of balance and synergy between elements in a project.
Social media of Jurassic Park.
Since Jurassic Park takes place in the early 1990s, there really is no social media platform that can be used to advertise the park. According to google, the internet was used for commercial reasons until later on in the decade. So the closest thing to social media at this time would be news stations on TV and newspapers.
