Creative         So for this weeks creative exercise I went to innovationlab.com and used an exercise called squiggle bird. Its a 5 minute activity where you draw a bunch squiggly lines, 5 to be exact, on a piece of paper. You then turn those squiggles into a picture of a bird. This is what my bird looked like.      All thing considered, its not a bad looking drawing. The point of this exercise is to proves that our brains are designed to pick up patterns even among seemingly random nonsense. This was a very fun and quick assignment. Design       Since I don't go out much, I decided this week for my design blog that I would analyze the design of something in my house. I ended up choosing the Dragon Ball Super poster in my room.       I pictured me cropping the image and using the rule of thirds in my head. I realized the more important/popular characters were on the left or middle whilst the less popular one were on the ri...

Tell a story

Image
This is a picture I took of 2 of my plushies, Bulbasaur and Ludicolo. The image itself was easy to capture, I just put them next to each other with Ludicolo leaning on Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur and Ludicolo are my oldest plushies and so I feel like this image captures the brotherhood and deep friendship these Pokémon would share being together for so long. They would’ve gone through so many battles together, played together, ate together and just having a good time being with each other.

Exploring color

Image
Color and contrast are very important parts of an image. Because we associate different emotions with different colors, changing colors in an image can and will change the feelings and emotions the image gives off. This can completely change the message an image is supposed to tell. For example a room light up with red light will give off entirely different emotions compared to one light with blue light. When an image becomes monochromatic, basically turning the image black and white, gives off a more life less or old feel to an image. Meanwhile a duotone image uses extreme contrast, because the image uses 2 colors, to convey its message that 2 force are either working together or combating each other. Contrast is just as important because without it the image becomes bland. However, with too much contrast, the image becomes darker as the color of the pixels change too much. This assignment showed me the importance of contrast in an image as well the message/emotion...

Blog #7     So this week in class we did some review over lightroom because it has been about a week since we were in class due to hurricane Milton. We review things like adding tints, masks, changing the hues of specific colors in an image, etc. For this week creative exercise I used an ai tool to help me create a game me and my cousin played. In this game we came up with random words that the other person had to draw. The catch was that we only had 6 minutes to draw each image and we couldn't choose which word we had to draw, they were selected randomly via a custom wheel. The other person had to guess the word you were drawing in the 6 minute time span or you both lost. Below is an slightly edited image from a popular manga that my cousin used as reference to draw Ryu from street fighter. From this game we learned that drawing concepts like love are very difficult to draw and are easily misinterpreted whilst object are easily recognizable. However, interestingly, dra...

Blog: Week 6

Image
Blog 6     So this week was "interesting" to say the least. School got closed from Tuesday to Thursday night or Friday morning, I can't remember which, because of hurricane Milton. Milton knocked out the power, wifi and internet to my neighborhood. After a little over a week it was all back though. During that time I thought a lot about potential photos I could take I have a few ideas on some good ones I could take. Specifically I want to recreate some of my favorite anime moments and photograph them. I came up with this idea after listening to some music which, according to indeed.com, is a good creative exercise. One the moments I want to recreate is Yuji Itadori's "I am you" speech he gives to Mahito. This happens in toward the end of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. Thinking about this photo made me also think about how I could edit the photo, specifically, adding blue and white into it to give off the same cold feeling present in that moment.     I learned 2 ...

Blog Week 5

Blog #5     For this weeks creative exercise, I had a conversation without using the letter "e". This exercise is on the adobe website and in the exercise you have a conversation with a friend but we couldn't use words with the letter "e" in them. This was an experience to say the least because I never realized until now that there are tons of words we use all the time that use the letter "e". My friend was playing a Roblox game and we tried talking whilst he was fighting a boss we struggled to find synonyms for words like "me" and "he's" were hard to work around. All in all this was a very fun exercise to do.      This week we learned about the anatomy of a camera. The biggest thing I took away from the lecture is that cameras are a lot like eyes. The sensors absorb light and turn it into information just like an eye. The shutter closing is like a eye blinking and the aperture is like the pupil. Speaking of the aperture, it...
