Exploring color

     Color and contrast are very important parts of an image. Because we associate different emotions with different colors, changing colors in an image can and will change the feelings and emotions the image gives off. This can completely change the message an image is supposed to tell. For example a room light up with red light will give off entirely different emotions compared to one light with blue light. When an image becomes monochromatic, basically turning the image black and white, gives off a more life less or old feel to an image. Meanwhile a duotone image uses extreme contrast, because the image uses 2 colors, to convey its message that 2 force are either working together or combating each other. Contrast is just as important because without it the image becomes bland. However, with too much contrast, the image becomes darker as the color of the pixels change too much.

This assignment showed me the importance of contrast in an image as well the message/emotions colors bring to an image.
