Blog #8
Creative
So for this weeks creative exercise I went to innovationlab.com and used an exercise called squiggle bird. Its a 5 minute activity where you draw a bunch squiggly lines, 5 to be exact, on a piece of paper. You then turn those squiggles into a picture of a bird. This is what my bird looked like.
All thing considered, its not a bad looking drawing. The point of this exercise is to proves that our brains are designed to pick up patterns even among seemingly random nonsense. This was a very fun and quick assignment.
Design
Since I don't go out much, I decided this week for my design blog that I would analyze the design of something in my house. I ended up choosing the Dragon Ball Super poster in my room.
I pictured me cropping the image and using the rule of thirds in my head. I realized the more important/popular characters were on the left or middle whilst the less popular one were on the right. This makes sense because we read from left to right (unless your in Japan) so the characters everyone knows and loves are gonna be on the left. Beerus (the purple cat thing) may seem like an exception but he isn't because whilst he isn't as popular, he is important, so he's at the top along with Whis.
